Staring At The Sun

Posted on Aug 30, 2026 in Landscape

The eclipse itself was spectacular, but after seeing pictures of the phenomenon several times, I found myself more interested in everything happening around it.

The strange light, the muted colors, the unusual shadows, and the way people stopped to look up created an atmosphere that felt more interesting to photograph than the eclipse itself.

Sometimes, the most compelling part of a rare event isn’t the event in the sky, but the way it changes everything beneath it.
